Dear Editor
You are correct that I followed the RA for years but that was a long time ago in the days of Freddie Edmeades and Peter Heaton Ellis. Until recently I nursed the idea of riding to hounds once more at Larkhill but I live along way away in North Wales and my mare is twenty years old. (Although Freddie Edmeades' horse Wattle was twenty two and hunting two days a week when I was allowed to ride her!).
Hornby is a name that rings a bell. I shall look him up in an old Army List.
I occupy myself these days by trying to maintain my stables in what was the traditional manner and in re- schooling thoroughbreds - my own and one at a time.
Yours,
Roger Hanington
